Dr Emmanuel J Favaloro is a Principal Hospital Scientist, and in charge of the Haemostasis laboratories at the ICPMR, Westmead Hospital, a part of Pathology West. He has co-authored over 300 papers and has presented at numerous national and international meetings. He is the Editor in Chief of Seminars in Thrombosis and Hemostasis, and a member of the editorial/advisory boards of six other international journals. He is a current or past member of several ISTH SSCs and Working Parties, a member of several CLSI-guideline working groups, and a member of the RCPAQAP Haematology haemostasis advisory committee. His primary interest is laboratory testing and diagnosis related to bleeding and thrombosis, particularly in developing and evaluating new or improved diagnostics.
